A&P Mechanic Pay and Schedule:

  • Pay rate: $18 – 25/hour, depending on applicable experience
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm; overtime may be required

A&P Mechanic Position Information:

As an A&P Mechanic with Alliance Air Charter, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all aircraft.

A&P mechanic Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains, repairs and rebuilds aircraft structures, engines, propellers, functional components, and all other parts and equipment in accordance with applicable manuals, policies and regulations
  • Conducts inspections in accordance with applicable manuals, policies and regulations
  • Records aircraft discrepancies in accordance with the procedures and specifications
  • Records all completed maintenance/inspections and processes maintenance paperwork in accordance with manuals and regulations
  • Performs required inspections
  • Performs diagnosis and research of aircraft malfunctions
  • Assembles and installs electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power tools
  • Maintains, repairs, and rebuilds aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals
  • Measures parts for wear, using precision instruments
  • Inspects completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation
  • Reads and interprets pilots’ descriptions of problems to diagnose cause
  • Examines and inspects aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems
  • Examines aircraft and engines through specially designed openings while working from ladders or scaffolds, or uses hoists or lifts to remove the entire engine from an aircraft

A&P Mechanic Job Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Valid A&P License OR completion of A&P schooling
  • 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience OR similar mechanical experience, preferably with turbo and/or jet experience
  • Familiarity with all FAR and aviation standards
  • Additional Qualification(s):
  • Can legally work within the U.S.
  • Can speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Valid Driver license
  • Meets and maintains MVR requirements, as defined by company insurance policies
  • Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work, including multiple projects
  • Ability to travel with little or no notice to fix AOG Aircraft
  • Ability to work overtime hours with little or no notice, as needed
  • Possesses a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to read and understand job-related manual, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
  • Possesses problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 /hour

Required experience:

  • A&P Mechanic: 1 year
  • turbo & jet mechanic: 2 years

Required license or certification:
